Default Setting

Due to our life experiences we resolve to a lot of defaults in our life.

A lot of these are the result of things we like: coffee vs tea, cuisine, beach person vs hill person, and so on.

After a while these defaults become a way of life. Anything outside feels like a hurdle we want to avoid.

At some point we realise this and decide to work on it. We extend our boundary just a smidge and then we call it a day.

Anything more just seems unachievable with everything else that’s happening around.

These defaults become the walls of the glass box we shut ourselves into.

While we learn to think outside the box; living out of it remains a long-term goal.
