Now I am a Salesforce Certified Data Architecture and Management Designer

Wow that’s a mouthful!

I finally attended the Salesforce Certified Data Architecture and Management Designer exam today and cleared it without too much drama. For me that’s a good way to start this year.

I had mentioned in late November about my plan to give the exam, but I had to push the dates to January since I was busy with some other things in December; like taking some time-off from everything.

I mainly relied on the trailmix defined for this and then used the course on Focus on Force to identify any areas that I need to focus on further. At the end, I did well in most sections barring Master Data Management and Data Migration. So I know which areas I can focus on for now.

Next step in my architect path is the Sharing and Visibility Designer certification and I’m fairly certain that Trailmix should be good enough for this. This is one area that Salesforce has documented extremely well and provided I get the voucher in time I might be able to clear this by Feb-end.

PS: Why do I always feel like taking a piss 10 minutes into any exam?

Me, whenever I used to head out, take an auto, wait for flight to take off etc..

Thank you! That said this is a very small step and it feels like I’m always working towards a moving target that’s accelerating away from me.
